Angeles Crest and Gene Therapy?

This weekend I went to Angeles National Forest with Christina. We ended up driving up 7000+ feet to where they had snow. Snow was unexpected but not wasted. We tromped around in the snow a bit, threw snowballs and made a snow penguin (yes, penguin). We then had a picnic at a lower warmer elevation using my JetBoil that Christina got for me Valentine's Day last year. The JetBoil's pretty neat because it boils water in under two minutes or something. We boiled some packaged food that we'd been saving for just this purpose. Then since there was still light we went hiking near Redbox 2.4 miles to a campsite called Valley Forge. That was some hard hiking on the way back uphill all the way. All in all a fun tiring day in God's green creation.

On another note, I heard a story about RNA interference on NPR. The relatively new process sounds like gene therapy to me. Researchers used a snippet of RNA to interfere with the gene that produces one of the building blocks of cholesterol to combat heart disease. The process sounds promising and scary at the same time.
