Bio-diesel Fuel from Sewage

There's some puns I can think up from this story. There's a company in New Zealand that has found a way to produce bio-diesel fuel from algae growing on sewage. Not exactly replicator technology (where inanimate objects were made from other matter or energy including sewage) but pretty handy. I wonder how large a scale this fuel production can be done on. How many of you are getting hit hard at the pump? I hope more alternative fuel sources get found fast not just because of our wallets but also because of national security and the climate. NPR had a story on Russia's Putin vs. Washington over fuel for one thing.
