Valley Forge again

This past weekend Christina and I went backpacking again to Angeles National Forest. This is the third week in a row we've been there. We went to Valley Forge, a 2.4 mile hike that we did two weeks ago but didn't camp at. This time we packed lighter after Christina read about ways to reduce weight and we brought sandals. We took off extra parts on our packs and brought lighter versions of things like flashlights, toothbrushes, etc. There wasn't nearly so much water this time in any case and we arrived quickly and dry. There was also an extra hour of sunlight due to the time change. Overall it was a much more pleasant experience even though sleeping was still a little rough. Same as last week though we woke up early, 6am and headed out to go back to church for a web site meeting. Even though we had to climb 1000 ft. in the 2 1/2 miles it was still much nicer than last week. I think our bodies were getting used to the punishment we've been putting them through too. Nothing like miles of hiking to get in shape, heh.
